BMW Motorrad India records best-ever year: G 310 range drives growth
The company’s best-selling motorcycles are the three G 310 bikes, namely G 310 RR fully-faired sports bike, G 310 R naked streetfighter and G 310 GS adventure tourer. All three motorcycles make use of the same 313 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that has been jointly developed in collaboration with TVS Motor Company. This engine puts out 34 PS of max power and 28 Nm of peak torque, and is shared with the TVS Apache RR 310.

In fact the BMW G 310 RR, launched in July last year, is actually a badge-engineered version of the Apache RR 310. The three motorcycles are the entry point to the BMW Motorrad range in India. Pricing for the G 310 R starts from Rs 2.75 lakh, making it the most affordable BMW bike in India. The G 310 RR is priced from Rs 2.90 lakh to Rs 2.99 lakh, while the G 310 is priced at Rs 3.15 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
The German manufacturer also retails a host of big bikes in India, including the S 1000 RR, F 900 R, R 18, F 850 GS, R 1250 GS, and so on. The company’s portfolio in the country also includes the C 400 GT maxi scooter, priced at Rs 10.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
