KTM-Brabus reveal 1300 R Edition 23: Limited units for this 1.3-litre V-twin madness

KTM and Brabus have come together again for another carbon fibre-covered, limited-run motorcycle, the 1300 R Edition 23. It follows the previous limited edition 1300 R launched in 2022, which was German uber-tuner Brabus’ first foray into motorcycles. The previous KTM-Brabus mashup about doubled the price of the base Super Duke and was sold out in two minutes. The new bike will be limited to only 290 units and will be made available in select markets. While a one-off that’s imported by a customer could always make its way to India, the model being offered by KTM seems unlikely.
The 1300 R Edition 23 gets Brabus monoblock Z wheels, carbon fibre body elements, a bespoke seat, and two colour options – Superblack and Stealth Gray – each limited to 145 units. Last year’s colourways were Magma Red and Signature Black, each version produced in 77 examples.
Like the 1300 R, the engine and platform remain the same, a KTM 1290 Super Duke R Evo, which is powered by a 1,301cc LC8 V-Twin which makes 177 bhp and 140 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Brabus has left the engine untouched, however, the motorcycle gets a custom dual-pipe slip-on exhaust built by Brabus.

Other features of the KTM Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 include carbon fibre parts, a headlight mask, redesigned side panels and air ducts, a carbon fibre one-piece undertray, a pillion seat cowl, and a reupholstered seat that features Brabus’ Crest stitching pattern.
KTM Brabus 1300 R Edition 23 motorcycle will be available exclusively through KTM’s preorder webpage, and preorders begin today, i.e. 16th February.
